ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland track and field team will compete in two events over the weekend beginning with the GVSU Big Meet held in Allendale, Mich. at the Kelly Family Turf Building on Friday, Feb. 12 beginning at 10 a.m. On Saturday, Feb. 13 at noon, the team will being competition at the Tiffin Dragon Invite held at the Heminger Center in Tiffin, Ohio.

Meet Notes:
â-ª Kendell Jefferson's 60m school record (7.66) ranks second in the league while Kynihay Brown ranks third (7.73)
â-ª Aaron Davis ranks fifth in the league in the 60m (6.93)
â-ª Currently, Oakland has three runners in the Horizon League 3000m top-four times including Bryce Stroede (2nd), Jacob Bowman (3rd) and Andrew Bowman (4th).
â-ª On the women's side, the Golden Grizzlies also have three runners in the Mile top-four with Rachel Levy (2nd-5:00.18), Miranda Haas (3rd-5:03.23) and Sammy Mondry (3rd-5:05.55).

At least season's GVSU Big Meet:
â-ª Davis won his fourth consecutive 200 meter dash title with a time of 21.82
â-ª Stroede won the 200m with a time of 8:22.71
â-ª First place titles: Jilliam Flint (200m-26.76), David Koponen (1-mile-4:26.79), Chris Scott (800m-1:53.17) and Derrek Williams (400m dash-50.85). Candice Mack (200m-25.25) and Matthew Jordan (triple jump-43 ft. 10.75 in.)

YSU National Invitational (Feb. 5-6)
â-ª Corey Goodloe broke his own record in the 400m dash by running a time of 48.97 seconds, becoming the first runner in Oakland history to run under 49 seconds at an indoor meet
â-ª Andrea Koenigstneckt, Sydney Sterling, Elizabeth Girardot and Odette Ingall combined to break the school record in the women's 4x400m relay going 3:53.36.
â-ª The men's distance medley team of George O'Connor, Corey Goodloe, Chris Scott and Bryce Stroede claimed first place with a time of 9:56.77
â-ª The women's distance medley team of Karli Keur, Sarah Moen, Kailey Weingartz and Ashley Burr also placed second at 12:11.46.
â-ª Hayley MacDonald placed fourth in the Pentathlon with 3109 points
â-ª Nicholas Girodat placed second in the men's 200m (22.00) with Kynihay Brown finishing 3rd in the women's 200m (25.30)
â-ª Sarah Moen placed 4th in the 60m at 8.97
