Isaiah Brock will begin his basketball career at Oakland this season. The 6-foot-8 freshman from Baltimore, Md. joins the Golden Grizzlies after serving in the military for four years where he was stationed in Afghanistan and Kuwait.

Brock met Coach Kampe when he played against Kampe's team in the Hardwood Classic in Kuwait at Camp Arfijan in 2015. He accepted Kampe's offer to come play at Oakland when his service was complete, and in October he won his appeal to the NCAA to be eligible to play this season. Brock attended Forest Park Senior High School in Maryland where he led his team to a city championship his sophomore year. He also finished runner-up in high jump in and was an All-State lacrosse player.
