ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) - Valparaiso outscored Oakland 47-33 in the second half en route to a 84-67 win in front of a Athletics Center O'rena attendance record of 4,110 fans.

Oakland (9-7, 1-2) had a 7-2 spurt to get back within six in the second half but Valparaiso answered with an identical run and steadily pulled away from there.

Tevonn Walker made 6 of 8 3-point shots with 24 points and seven rebounds to help Valparaiso beat Oakland 84-67 on Friday night.

Valparaiso used a 10-0 run to lead 49-38 on Walker's 3-pointer with 15:20 left.

The Golden Grizzlies kept it tight in the first half and had their last lead at 32-30 on Nick Daniels' pair of free throws with 2:16 left. Valparaiso closed the half of a 7-2 run to lead 37-34.

Kay Felder led Oakland with 20 points on 8-of-28 shooting. Jalen Hayes added 13, Max Hooper 12 and Sherron Dorsey-Walker 11.
