HL Outdoor Championship FINAL Results

ROCHESTER, Mich. - Aaron Davis, David Koponen, Bryce Stroede, Ashley Burr and Serena San Cartier each claimed titles helping both teams to an outdoor program best third place finish on the final day of competition at the Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at the Oakland Track and Field Facility on Sunday. The men's 110 and women's 101 points were also the highest school outdoor point total in program history which also outscored the University of Detroit Mercy by a combined 70 points to increase Oakland's lead in the Metro Series standings driven by Trinity Transportation.
Davis won the 200m dash (21.87) and finished third in the 100m dash (11.14), Koponen finished first in the 800m (1:53.80) followed by Chris Scott in second (1:53.81) while Stroede took the 1500m title (3:49.00). Burr won the 5000m crown (18:00.17) and San Cartier claimed the 100m hurdles title (14.04) and placed third in the 200m dash (25.26).
Other men's team podium finishers included Jeff Arirguzo (3rd-100m 11.18), Aaron Chatman (6th-400m 49.56), Andrew Bowman (2nd-5000m 15:04.25) and George O'Connor (5th-5000m 15:19.79). Also, Tré Brown (3rd-100m hurdles 15.17, 3rd 400m hurdles 53.51) and Matthew Jordan (4th-Triple Jump 47 feet, 6.50 inches).
The 4x100m relay team of Davis, Austin Davis, William Askew and Arirguzo along with the 4x400 relay team of Austin Davis,
Aaron Chatman, Brown and Tim Pfund each finished second with times of 40.87 and 3:18.72 respectively.
The women's also had multiple podium finishers with Sydney Sterling (2nd-400m 55.53), Karli Keur (2nd-1500m 4:42.69), Sammy Mondry (4th-1500m 4:46.26), Cassandra Peterson (3rd-5000m 18:09.08), Miranda Haas (4th-5000m 18:11.17) and Jenae Curley (6th-5000m 18:15.48). Additionally, Sarah Moen (3rd-100m hurdles 14.91), Laura Johnston (3rd-100m hurdles 15.03) and Andrea Koenigstneckt (6th-400m hurdles 1:04.59).
The 4x100m relay team of San Cartier, Kendell Jefferson, Sterling and Candice Mack finished third (46.96) while the 4x400 relay team of Jilliam Flint, Koenigstneckt, Odette Ingall and Sterling placed fourth (3:59.09).
