Feb. 27, 2015 SEDONA, Ariz. - Alyssa Albright carded a 3-over-par 75 to lead the Oakland women's golf team after day one of the Red Rocks Invitational, hosted by Northern Arizona, at Oak Creek Country Club (par 72, 5,579 yards) on Friday.
"Steady performance all day finishing round one with a 311 and having three rounds in the 70's," said coach Alyssa Gaudio. "Looking to go lower in our final round to round out our first week of tournament play."
Albright shares 18th place with her 75, six shots behind Grand Canyon's Charlotte Jaengkit for the individual lead. Morgan Smith and Elle Nichols each recorded an opening round score of 78 (+6) and are in a tie for 48th place.
Northern Arizona is in the team lead with a round one score of 300, one shot in front of both Sacramento State and Cal Poly.
The final round of the Red Rocks Invitational will begin tomorrow starting at noon ET from Oak Creek Country Club.
