ROCHESTER, Mich. - Juliana Guevara is being honored as Oakland's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of March 24-30. Her strong play this past weekend in two Horizon League match-ups was key in her selection for this honor.

Guevara was victorious on Sunday against Cleveland State at No. 6 singles, coming back after dropping the second set to win in the super tie-breaker, 12-10, for her third singles win in Horizon League action. The Golden Grizzlies were unable to find victory overall, losing the match 5-2.

On Saturday, Guevara pulled the Golden Grizzlies back within a point with her 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles against Youngstown State, as OU dropped the match by a slim 4-3 margin.

One match awaits Oakland next weekend when the Golden Grizzlies travel to Wright State Sunday, April 6 for an 11 a.m. dual.
