ROCHESTER, Mich. - Travis Bader has been recognized as Student-Athlete of the Week for Oakland for the week of Jan. 28 - Feb. 3. Though the team split a pair of league contests, it was still an incredible week for the senior shooter.
Over the course of the week, Bader totaled 47 points in 69 total minutes played and a perfect 8-8 from the stripe. At home against Youngstown State on Friday, Jan. 31, Bader hit five 3-pointers inching him ever closer to breaking the all-time NCAA record for 3's made. He would go on to break that record on Sunday at Milwaukee by knocking down six 3-pointers bringing his grand total to 461. With the back-to-back 20+-point games, Bader now ranks second in the league in that category (12).
Oakland plays next on Thursday, Feb. 6 when Cleveland State visits for a 7 p.m. tip.
