Game Highlights ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland led wire-to-wire as Kahlil Felder and Tommie McCune each recorded double-doubles to lead the Golden Grizzlies to an 87-72 exhibition victory over St. Xavier on Friday night inside the Athletics Center O'rena. Oakland will open the regular season at No. 14 Iowa State on Friday, Nov. 14.
The Golden Grizzlies shot 54 percent (34-63) for the game and 40 percent (6-15) from behind the arc. Oakland held the Cougars to 37.5 percent (24-64) shooting and led by as many as 21 points in the second half.
Felder finished with 21 points and 10 assists, while McCune added 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Femi Olujobi tallied 17 points off the bench, and Corey Petros finished with 11 points and nine rebounds for the Golden Grizzlies.
SXU's Kyle Huppe scored a game-high 22 points to lead three Cougars in double figures. St. Xavier was outscored 56-14 in the paint and outrebounded 45-34.
The Golden Grizzlies scored 181 points in two exhibition games. Oakland will begin one of the country's toughest non-conference schedules against the 14th-ranked Cyclones next Friday night in Ames, Iowa.
