OAKLAND THROWERS TRAVEL TO FINDLAY CLASSIC

FINDLAY, Ohio - Andrew Stebbins, Gino Vitella and Katelynne Hartman were in action at the Findlay Classic in Findlay, Ohio on Saturday, Jan. 25. The athletes elected to participate in a different meet than the remainder of the team in an effort to experience tougher competition. Though the team's trip to Fort Wayne, Ind. was cancelled due to transportation issues, the throwers departed on Friday, Jan. 24 for their meet.

Stebbins placed 13th in the men's shot put with a final hurl of 46' 4.25" in a field of 40 competitors. Hartman finished 11th on the women's side when she threw for 39' 8.75" against 34 other participants.

Oakland is in the process of adding a competition date for this coming week in compensation for the cancellation. Details will be available as soon as plans are finalized.
