ROCHESTER, Mich. - Left-handed pitcher Jason Hager (3-7) tossed his fifth complete game, allowing seven hits, two runs and struck out six, but it was not enough as No. 3 seed North Dakota State (25-25) upset No. 2 seed Oakland (20-34), 2-0, in game two of The Summit League Baseball Championship on the OU Baseball Field. NDSU's John Straka (8-2) tossed a complete-game shutout, scattering six hits and struck out five.

"We have had a tough time against John Straka for the past four years," said OU coach John Musachio. "I knew it was a tough matchup. (Jason) Hager was outstanding. It really just came down to who was going to come up with a key hit in key situations. NDSU got it done and we did not."

Straka and Hager put on the best two pitching performances of the tournament. They both cruised through the first three innings as the game was scoreless. NDSU broke through on a solo home run to right field by Kyle Kleinendorst, his second of the season.

Robby Enslen began the fifth inning with a double down the right-field line to give the Golden Grizzlies their second runner in scoring position in as many innings. Enslen advanced to third base on a ground out to the right side, but was thrown out at the plate on the very next play by the shortstop to keep the Bison up by one, 1-0.

Straka pitched out of another jam in the seventh inning with a strike out with runners at first and second and two outs. The Bison would then score their second run of the game in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly by Wes Satzinger.

Kyle Bobolts led off the bottom of the eighth inning with a double down the left-field line. Straka once again prevented the Grizzlies to break through with a ground out, strike out and foul out to the catcher.

OU had no runs, six hits and no errors, while NDSU scored two runs, on seven hits and committed one error.
