ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland (11-13) will face Morehead State (11-13) in the Ramada ESPN BracketBuster Game, announced by ESPN on Monday. The game will be played inside the Athletics Center O'rena at 5 p.m. on Feb. 23. Tickets can be purchased on ticketmaster.com.
This marks the second year that the Golden Grizzlies have competed in the BracketBuster game. OU fell to Illinois State, 79-75, last season in Redbird Arena. This marks the final year of the ESPN BracketBusters, but Oakland will return a trip to Morehead State some time in the future.
The Golden Grizzlies currently stand in fourth place in The Summit League standings at 6-4. OU has won four of its last five league games and the Grizzlies are riding a three-game winning streak.
The Eagles are 5-5 in the Ohio Valley Conference and in fifth place in the East division. MSU is 3-10 on the road this season and are led by Milton Chavis at 11.0 points per game.
Travis Bader continues to lead the country in 3-pointers made with 100. Bader became the first player in school history to make 100 threes in back-to-back seasons and has currently made a 3-pointer in 44 straight games (2nd-best in the NCAA).
