BROOKINGs, S.D. – The final two games of the Oakland baseball series at South Dakota State have been cancelled, SDSU officials announced on Sunday. Overnight rains in the Brookings area left the field conditions unplayable at Erv Huether Field on Sunday.
The Golden Grizzlies won the only game of the series 4-2 over the Jackrabbits on Saturday. It was the eighth consecutive win in league play for Oakland and a third straight Summit League series victory. OU currently sits atop The Summit League standings with just eight league games remaining on the schedule.
The Golden Grizzlies return to action with a four-game series at North Dakota State. The series will open on Friday with a game at 7:30 p.m. ET.
