ROCHESTER, Mich.- The Oakland softball team (5-31) will travel to Toledo (12-28) to take on the Rockets in a midweek doubleheader at Scott Park Softball Complex on Wednesday starting a 3 p.m. The Golden Grizzlies are coming off their first series win of the season against South Dakota State at the OU Softball Field.

Oakland came back from four runs down in the seventh inning in the nightcap on Friday as Shelby Gott had the game-winning single to end a 16-game losing streak. In the rubber-game, Abbie Richardson and Brittany Prior had back-to-back RBI-singles to take a 4-3 lead in the fifth inning and Morgan Muron drove in the run in the sixth inning to win the game 5-3.

The Rockets are led by Brooke Gates who is hitting .327 with 14 extra-base hits and the only Toledo player to start every game this season. Lindsey Tobias leads the team in RBIs with 27 and tied for the lead in home runs with three. In the circle, Casi Rohr is tops on the team with a 7-17 record and a 5.67 ERA in 19 starts.
