ROCHESTER, Mich. - Ryan Bass tallied a career-high 22 points and Reggie Hamilton finished with 29 to lead Oakland (19-15) past Buffalo (20-11), 84-76, on Saturday in the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason tournament at the Athletics Center O'rena. Both teams shot 44.4 percent from three (12-27).

"That's a very good team we just beat," said OU coach Greg Kampe. "I was very pleased with our team effort today. The players made plays. Ryan Bass was big for us and was that third scorer that we need."

Travis Bader finished with 16 points and Corey Petros added 10 points. The Golden Grizzlies were outscored 34-0 off the bench and it was the first time all season OU did not have a point off the bench. The reserve players did not even attempt a shot in the game.

Tony Watson led the Bulls with 19 points off the bench. Zach Filzen and Jarod Oldham each scored 12 points, while MAC Player of the Year Mitchell Watt finished with 10.

The Golden Grizzlies trailed for the first 16 minutes of the first half, but used a 15-2 run during a four-minute stretch to take a 46-41 lead. The Bulls' Oldham then banked in a 3-pointer as time expired and OU led by just two, 46-44.

Oakland continued to lead for over 18 minutes until Oldham struck again for the Bulls and drained a 3-pointer to cap an 8-0 run and tie the game at 76. Hamilton responded for the Grizzlies with a big three-point play as the lead went back to three, 79-76, with 3:27 remaining. Clinging to a one-possession lead, OU turned to Hamilton who sliced in the lane and scored as the shot clock was expiring and gave the Golden Grizzlies a five-point lead.

The Golden Grizzlies would hold the Bulls scoreless for the final three minutes of the game and made free throws down the stretch to hold on for an eight-point win. OU held UB's Watt to just two points in the second half and outscored UB 20-2 from the charity stripe.

The Golden Grizzlies advance to the CIT quarterfinals for the second straight time of competing in this postseason tournament.
