  • Saturday was the first meeting between the Golden Grizzlies and Jaspers, OU now 0-1
  • The Golden Grizzlies are now 7-4 against current members of the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC)
  • This was the third school from the MAAC that OU has faced this year, all three games were on the road against Canisius, Niagara and Manhattan. The team posted a 1-2 record in those games
  • OU is in the midst of a four-game stretch in which Manhattan is the only team not in the AP Poll. Oakland has faced an MSU team that is receiving votes and will next face No. 15 Purdue followed by No. 2 Connecticut
  • Shelby Herrington knocked down a jumper to open the scoring for OU and tied the game at 2-2
  • Herrington hit 10 consecutive field goal attempts over the last four games before finally missing in the first half
  • Victoria Lipscomb hit a layup to snap a 10:20 scoreless streak for OU
  • The Golden Grizzlies did not score from the 12:57 mark of the first until 2:37 left in the half
  • Oakland did not shoot a free throw in the first half, it was the first time that has happened since Dec. 1, 2011 at UMKC
  • The Black and Gold also held Manhattan without a free throw in the opening half, which last happened on Feb. 4, 2012 against Western Illinois
  • The nine points scored by OU in the first half were the fewest this season. The previous low had been 20 in the first half against Michigan State
  • Victoria Lipscomb scored over half of Oakland's points in the first half with five
  • Oakland trailed 28-9 at the half
  • The 19-point halftime deficit was the largest of the season for the Golden Grizzlies.
  • OU shot a season-low 19 percent from the field in the first half
  • Manhattan took advantage of 14 first-half turnovers by OU to outscore OU 12-2 in points off TOs

  • Zakiya Minifee scored the first basket of the second half for OU. The Golden Grizzlies started the half on a 5-0 run to cut the score to 28-13 (15 points)
  • Oakland started the second half on an 11-4 run to cut the lead to 32-20 the closest
  • Behind three blocks from Sinclair Russell and two from Lipscomb, Oakland posted six blocks in a game for the first time this season and first time since Feb. 27, 2012 against UMKC
  • Oakland cut the deficit, which had been as many as 23 points in the first half to just five points in the second half
  • Sinclair Russell finished the game with career-highs in rebounds (8), blocks (3) and steals (1)
  • The 26 turnovers were a season-high for the Golden Grizzlies
  • Manhattan was the first team to outscore Oakland at the free-throw line this season.
