ROCHESTER, Mich.- Oakland (2-3) continues its road swing on Friday as the Golden Grizzlies face No. 15 Michigan State (3-1) at 8:15 p.m. on the Big Ten Network inside the Breslin Center. The game is also available on OU's flagship station WDFN-AM (1130).
OU has not played inside the Athletics Center O'rena since the season opener on Nov. 9th when the Golden Grizzlies upended Division III Albion College, 96-62. Travis Bader leads the country with 20 threes this season and is third in The Summit League in scoring (19.0). He recently moved into fifth all-time in program history with 238 threes and went over 1,000 points at Pitt.
The Golden Grizzlies have never defeated Michigan State, losing the first 10 games of the series. OU dropped a tough 77-76 decision at The Palace of Auburn Hills (12/11/10) in the last meeting.
Corey Petros and Bader have reached double figures in all five games this season. Petros was named The Summit League Player of the Week, along with SDSU's Nate Wolters, on Monday. It was the first time in his career he has earned that honor. The 6-foot-10 center leads the league in field goal percentage (.721).
