  • OU leads the all-time series with Southern Utah 22-6
  • The Golden Grizzlies are 2-0 against the Thunderbirds in Summit League Tournament Games. The two teams met in the 2005 quarterfinal with OU winning 66-58.
  • Oakland is 18-8 all-time at the Summit League Tournament and won the title in 2002 and 2006. Coach Beckie Francis led both of OU's championship teams and is 15-6 all-time in Summit League Tournament games.
  • Sharise Calhoun led Oakland with 24 points. She has scored in double-digits in 14 of the last 16 games of the season and broke the 20-point barrier for the fifth time in her career and third time this season.
  • With 82 wins over the past four years, the Oakland senior class is now tied for the most wins of any class in OU history.
  • The Golden Grizzlies have won the opening round game 10 times. The only two first round losses came in 2004 and 2010.
  • Oakland and Southern Utah split the regular-season series. Oakland won 68-39 on Dec. 2 at the Athletics Center O'rena, but suffered a 60-49 road loss at the Centrum Arena on Feb. 26.
  • The Golden Grizzlies won the 2002 tournament as a No. 2 seed and the 2006 tournament as a No. 6 seed.
  • With 18 points Bethany Watterworth has now scored in double-digits in 29 of the 30 games this season.

  • Brittany Carnago, who ranks 11th in the NCAA in blocked shots per game, failed to record a blocked shot for just the third time all season.

  • Oakland is 11-0 when holding league opponents under 60 points this season.
  • OU leads the league in scoring defense (58.9), field goal percentage (37.7) and blocked shots (4.9)
  • The lead changed hands five times in the opening five minutes and was tied 8-8 with 15:22 to play.
  • Zakiya Minifee led Oakland with 11 rebounds. The freshman has led Oakland with an average of more than seven rebounds per game.
  • The game was tied 8-8 when Zakiya Minifee hit a 3-pointer, Oakland went on a 10-4 run and led for the remainder of the half, leading 32-23 at the half.
  • Oakland forced six turnovers in the opening 4:08 and 12 turnovers in the first half.
  • Oakland continues to rank fifth in the nation in fewest fouls committed per game.
  • Challis Pascucci was held scoreless in the first half and did not score until the 3:06 mark of the second half. She did not have a field goal, scoring just one point. She scored 28 when SUU beat Oakland. Pascucci is SUU's leading scorer with an average of 17.8 points per game.
  • Sharise Calhoun was 4-of-4 at the free-throw line. She is 57th in the NCAA with an 82.9 free-throw percentage.
  • Oakland scored 16 points off 19 Southern Utah turnovers.
  • The No. 4 seed, Oakland will face Oral Roberts on Monday at 1 p.m. in the tournament semifinals.
