Madness Summit League All-Conference Teams

ROCHESTER, Mich. - Oakland's Reggie Hamilton (1st team), Travis Bader (3rd team) and Laval Lucas-Perry (3rd team) were named to the College Sports Madness Preseason All-Summit League teams, while Corey Petros was tabbed Freshman of the Year, announced on Wednesday afternoon. The Golden Grizzlies are coming off back-to-back Summit League regular season and tournament championships.

Hamilton, a 5-foot-11 guard from Chicago, Ill., is the top returning scorer for Oakland after scoring 17.6 points per game in 2010-11. He finished second in the league a year ago with 5.3 assists per game and third in 3-pointers made per game with 2.3. Hamilton was also named to the Preseason Mid-Major All-America fourth team and earned All-Summit League first team and all-tournament accolades last year.

Bader was named to the 2011 Summit League All-Newcomer Team after leading the conference with 2.7 3-pointers per game. A 6-foot-5 shooting guard, Bader finished ninth in the country by making 44 percent of his shots from beyond the arc and garnered CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Freshmen All-America honors. A native of Okemos, Mich., Bader made 94 treys last year, fourth-best in single-season school history.

Lucas-Perry joins the men's basketball team after sitting out 2010-11. He transferred from Michigan where he started 22 of 32 games played in for the Wolverines. The 6-foot-2 guard from Flint, Mich. averaged 4.8 points per game and reached double figures in six games in 2009-10 for U-M.

After consecutive NCAA tournament berths and three straight 20-win seasons, the Golden Grizzlies are ranked No. 104 by College Sports Madness for 2011-12. The website picks OU as the second best team in The Summit League, behind Oral Roberts (No. 74).
