TULSA, Okla. - Junior Tommy Jablonski went 2-for-4 and sophomore Tim Ryan reached base safely in his 21st straight game as the Oakland University baseball team (0-1 Summit, 5-16) lost 10-0 to Oral Roberts (1-0 Summit, 13-13) Friday evening at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
Jablonski extended his hitting streak to seven consecutive games while Ryan's single in the first inning allowed him to reach base safely for the 21st straight game. Junior's Ryan Waldhart and Aaron Wick each had a hit for the day against ORU. Sophomore Connor Mielock (2-3) gave up 10 hits, six runs, all of them earned, walked three batters and struck out two in five innings of work.
For the Golden Eagles, Bryce Smolen (3-2) gave up five hits, walked one and struck out 10 in getting the complete game victoryequeria went 3-for-5 at the plate with two doubles and scored two runs.
Oakland will play a doubleheader in Tulsa, Saturday afternoon with the first game scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
