- The Golden Grizzlies beat Illinois 62-61 in overtime on Wednesday. The Golden Grizzlies are 6-8 following an overtime game in the division I era. This is the second time that OU has played a MAC school following an overtime game with a Big Ten school this season.
- Bethany Watterworth had 11 points in the first half to finish in double-digits in the first half for the seventh time this season. The Golden Grizzlies are 5-2 in those seven games.
- The 16 points in the first half were a season-low for Oakland.
- Oakland shot 15.4 percent from the field in the second half, the lowest of any half this season.
