OAKLAND (3-3)

  • The Golden Grizzlies are a perfect 7-0 against teams from the Ivy League.
  • This is the first meeting between Oakland and Cornell.
  • Brittany Carnago recorded five blocks in the game to pass Southern Utah's Sarah (Pratt) Mortensen and move into a tie with Wendi Walker of Chicago State for 13th in career blocks in The Summit League with 128.
  • Carnago has recorded a block in four of the five games she has played in this season.
  • Watterworth finished the game with 16 points and 10 rebounds to record back-to-back double-doubles against Rochester College and Cornell respectively.
  • Bethany Watterworth knocked two 3-pointers in the game against the Big Red, previously she had knocked down only one 3-pointer in a game on 12 different occasions.
  • Elizabeth Hamlet made her first start of the season; Oakland has had a different starting lineup in all six games this season.
  • Brittany Carnago scored 10 points, reaching double-figures for the first time this season.
  • Cornell shot just 23.3 percent from the field in the first half. It's the fourth time this season that OU has held an opponent under 30 percent shooting in a half this season.

  • After the game was tied 3-3, Oakland went on a 14-2 run and eventually led by as many as 19 points (31-12) at the 3:03 of the first half, finishing the half up 31-17.

CORNELL (1-5)

  • The Big Red is 2-1 against teams from The Summit League.
  • It was a homecoming for Cornell's Spencer Lane who hails from West Bloomfield, Mich., she scored two points, had two rebounds and had three assists in the game.
  • Cornell did not shoot a free throw in the game.
  • After losing the opening tip to OU, the Big Red have failed to control the tipoff in all six game this season.
  • This was the closest loss for the Big Red this season. The previous closest was a 15 point defeat to Cleveland State (65-50).
  • Cornell started the second half on a 10-2.
  • The Big Red got as close as 35-31 in the second half.
  • After losing the battle of the boards in the first half (27-13), Cornell out-rebounded OU 20-12 in the second half, including eight offensive rebounds.
  • Cornell's Clare Fitzpatrick scored 10 points to finish in double-digits for the fourth time this season. She was the only Big Red player in double-digits and led the team in scoring for the third time this season.
