ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland University volleyball team (7-1, 2-0 Summit League) will look to build on its fast start this weekend as the Golden Grizzlies play host to South Dakota State on Friday and North Dakota State on Saturday.
Both matches are slated for 7 p.m. starts.
South Dakota State (3-5, 2-0 Summit League) enters play on a two-game win streak having won league matches last weekend over Centenary and Oral Roberts. The Jackrabbits are coming off an 8-8 finish in the league last season, finishing fifth. The two teams split the regular-season series last year.
North Dakota State (6-2, 2-0 Summit League) enters play having won three consecutive matches; a non-conference tilt with Eastern Michigan, and wins over Oral Roberts and Centenary. The two losses for the Bison were both five-set affairs against Florida State and Miami (Fla.). The defending Summit League champions went 24-4 last season, with a perfect 16-0 mark in league play.

OU Fans, participate in Camper Reunion Day and the Fan Blackout match on Friday, September 18. All fans are encouraged to wear black and bring friends and family as we try to break a record for the 1,000 fan challenge. A special post-game meet and greet and poster signing will take place following this game.
The OU Volleyball Team is proud to announce the first annual Dig Pink Match in support of breast cancer research on Friday, October 2. Please come out to cheer on your Golden Grizzlies and show your support. Dig Pink is a Breast Cancer Awareness Rally being held all of October to raise awareness and funds. Every year the Side Out Foundation wants to make a statement by holding hundreds, potentially thousands, of featured High School and College matches across the country to help educate and raise funds to eradicate this terrible disease. Proceeds will go towards doing something significant and identifiable in the fight against Breast Cancer.
