Senior Jessica Granger was named OU Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Golden Grizzlies to a perfect 5-0 record last week, including a three-game Summit League series sweep over South Dakota State last weekend in the season finale.
Granger, a native of Troy, Mich., finished the year 19-13, the second most wins by any pitcher in program history. She also tied a single-season school record with her seventh complete-game shutout versus Detroit, 4-0, on Monday.
She picked up her second win of the week against the Titans, entering the game in the sixth inning, striking out three and allowing just one hit to earn the win.
Against SDSU, Granger tossed a complete game in all three, allowing just one earned run in the final game of her career, striking out six. For the weekend, she tossed 21.0 innings, scattering 26 hits, eight runs, five earned runs, struck out 16 and walked just one.
