Oakland University
• Oakland has advanced to the semifinals in nine of 10 appearances in The Summit League championship, and has won two tournament championships (2002, 2006)
• OU has an all-time record of 16-7 in the Summit League championship tournament.
• Oakland has never lost a game from the No. 2 seed in the Summit League tournament.
• With her 16-point performance, senior Jessica Pike needs just two points to pass Nicole Piggott (2003-07) for 10th-place all-time at OU.
• OU improved to 22-5 in the all-time series against UMKC.
• April Kidd scored first for Oakland for the fifth time this season.
• The Golden Grizzlies are 16-2 when they score first.
• 10 of Oakland's first 17 points came off UMKC turnovers.
• Oakland used a 13-0 run over a 4:20 span late in the first half to push its lead to 11 (34-23) at the half.
• April Kidd broke the previous single-season steals record with her 91st steal this season, and broke the career record with her 239th career steal. The season record was set by Margaret Boyle in the 1986-87 season and the steals record is shared with Sarah Knuth (1985-88).
• In the second half, April Kidd had a stretch where she scored 11 consecutive points for the Golden Grizzlies.
• The game marked the third career game for April Kidd of 20 or more points.
• After shooting just 38.7 percent in the first half, Oakland shot 55.2 percent from the floor in the second half.

UMKC
• UMKC lost its first eight first-round games in the Summit League's tournament, and has a 3-11 all-time record in opening-round games at the league tourney. The Kangaroos have appeared in just one Summit League championship game (2005), falling 48-42 to Oral Roberts.
• UMKC has an all-time 4-14 record in the Summit League championship tournament.
• UMKC entered the Summit League tournament last season as the No. 7 seed, and the Kangaroos upset the No. 2 seed, Western Illinois, 62-55 in the opening round. It stands as one of only two times in Summit League tournament history that a No. 7 seed has beaten a No. 2 seed in the opening round. (UMKC also upset Valparaiso in 2004-05).
• At the second media timeout, UMKC held an 11-3 rebounding advantage. The Kangaroos finished with a 34-29 advantage on the rebounding glass.
