Freshman Anders Jensen was awarded OU Student-Athlete of the Week after adding quite a number of accolades to his young resume at last week's Summit League Swimming and Diving Championship at Oakland University.

The Copenhagen, Denmark native hit two NCAA automatic qualfying standards in the 100-yard backstroke (46.65) and 200 back (1:41.49), which were also school, OU Aquatic Center and Summit League records.

Jensen also set an NCAA 'B' cut in the 200 butterfly (1:44.19) and swam legs on the league-record setting and NCAA 'B' cut-qualifying 200 and 400 medley relay teams. He was awarded both Newcomer of the Year and Swimmer of the Year for his efforts.
