• Erik Kangas is now the all-time Oakland leader in three-point field goals made with 293.

• Oakland is now 10-1 when leading at the half and is on a 10-game winning streak of doing so. Tonight, OU was ahead 43-20 at the end of the first 20 minutes.

• OU now leads the all-time series against WIU 19-4.

• OU registered their largest margin of victory with 40 points. Their largest victory prior to tonight was by 34 points against Rochester College on Dec. 14, 2008, when Oakland defeated them 88-54.

• Keith Benson finished the night with a career-high 24 points, with 18 of them coming in the first half, and a season-high 12 rebounds. This also marks his fourth double-double of the season.

• Benson also attempted the first 3-pointer of his career.

• OU is currently on an eight-game winning streak inside the O'Rena and is 6-0 this season.

• Johnathon Jones recorded a new season-high of 11 assists.

• Kangas also registered a career-high in steals with four.

• The last time Oakland held a Division I team to below 50 points was against Air Force in 2002 in the O'Rena with a score of 61-44.

• The attendance tonight was a season-high 3,125. The last game Oakland had more than 3,100 fans in the O'Rena was on Feb. 24, 2007 against Oral Roberts when the 3,612 fans packed the facility.

• OU held the Leathernecks to 20 first half points, which the lowest Oakland has held an opponent all season. On Dec. 14, the Golden Grizzlies held Rochester College to 23 points.

• Oakland is 13-4 when shooting 40 percent or better from the floor.

• OU is 7-1 when Kangas scores 20 or more points.

• The first person to hit a half court shot this season during a timeout was none other than Michael Pemberton, the younger brother of The Oakland Press sportswriter Dave Pemberton.

• Oakland has made at least one three-pointer in 616 consecutive games.
