ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Oakland University men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the Summit League Championship this Saturday, Nov. 1 in Shreveport, La.
Junior Zack Jones, who has finished first for Oakland in every meet he has competed in and claimed a first-place overall finish in the Tommy Titan Invitational, looks to lead the men's team in the 8K race, having ran an impressive time of 24:41.3 at the Pre-Nationals meet on Oct. 18. The Golden Grizzlies also enter the conference meet still ranked 13th regionally in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll.
On the women's side, OU will be paced by junior Erica D'Angelo, who has finished first for the Golden Grizzlies on three occasions this season and ran her top 6K time of 22:13.8 at the Pre-Nationals meet.
The meet is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start time.
