ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Detroit Pistons unveiled their 2008-09 squad along with first-year head coach Michael Curry on Thursday night in the Athletics Center O'Rena. The Pistons conducted an open practice that ended with a 15-minute intrasquad scrimmage.

"What a great way to get the community in to our arena and show them how great of a campus Oakland University is," said Director of Athletics Tracy Huth. "The athletic department has a prominent working relationship with the Palace and Pistons organization, and we are honored that they chose to come back here again this year."

The event lasted close to two hours and produced some giveaways for Pistons and Golden Grizzlies fans.

The next big event scheduled for the O'Rena will be Midnight Madnezz on Oct. 17. Mario Impemba, the voice of Golden Grizzlies Basketball, will be here to welcome the 2008-09 men's and women's basketball teams.
