Freshman Justin Battle (Beverly Hills, Mich.) was the Golden Grizzlies??? top finisher of the day, posting a time of 22:20 to place 24th overall in the four-mile race. Freshman Tom Gienapp (Brighton, Mich.) followed in 29th with a time of 22:37, one spot of freshman Jeff Bonzheim (Jenison, Mich.) who ran a 22:40. Freshman Kevin Cataldo (Traverse City, Mich.) followed in 34th place, clocking in at 22:55. Freshman John Petricevic (Freeland, Mich.) edged classmate Jordan Strohkirch (Gladwin, Mich.) by one second for 36th, crossing the finish line in 22:59. Freshman Gus Povirk (Franklin, Mich.) logged a 23:04 to finish 40th, while junior Tim Rowland (Oxford, Mich.) followed in 42nd with a time of 23:17. Freshman Travis Galbraith (Freeland, Mich.) rounded out the field for the Golden Grizzlies, running a time of 23:22 for a 45th place finish.
