Bowling Green maintained the two-point advantage over the next several minutes until Stephanie Swiger served three straight points, including an ace, to put the Falcons up 15-10. Oakland drew within two at 17-15, capitalizing on attack errors by BGSU and a kill from Leone. But Bowling Green pulled together an 8-2 run to go up 25-17 and Corrie Mills??? kill shortly thereafter capped the 30-20 win for the Falcons. Golem, Pawson and junior

Hallie Beattie (Bowling Green, Ohio) served an ace as Oakland regained the three-point advantage 11-8. Oakland extended the lead to 14-10, but Bowling Green scored five straight points as Meghan Mohr had an ace while Kendra Halm and Mills combined for a block to give BG its first lead of the game 15-14. OU tied the game 15-15, but the Falcons registered four straight points to take a four-point lead 19-15. Bowling Green then scored seven straight points to increase its lead to 26-16 to put the game out of reach. Senior
Monica Frechen (Fowler, Mich.) had a kill and Dupuie had a block to bring the score to 26-18, but the Falcons held OU at bay and went on for the 30-20 win. Oakland fell behind in the third game despite being tied 2-2 early. The Falcons went up 7-3 with back-to-back kills by Madeline Means and an ace by Maggie Karges. Bowling Green maintained the four-point lead as Corey Domek???s kill gave the Falcons a 10-6 lead, but errors allowed the Golden Grizzlies to climb within two 10-8. OU kept within two points of Bowling Green with a kill from Beattie and errors from the Falcons to bring the score to 13-11, but BGSU went on a 9-1 run to pull away as Swiger contributed three kills for the 22-12 score. After an OU attack error brought the score to 24-13 Bowling Green, the Golden Grizzlies rallied with an 8-3 run to draw within six 27-21. Leone and Pawson each contributed kills while Parkin and Pawson combined for a block. But Means had a pair of kills to help the Falcons score the next three points for the 30-21 score and the 3-0 sweep. The Golden Grizzlies return to action this weekend when they travel to Milwaukee, Wis. for the Marquette Kick-Off Tournament. OU opens the tournament with a match against Texas-Arlington Friday at 5:30 p.m.
