ROCHESTER, Mich. ???C Oakland University???s Agnes Solan led the Golden Grizzlies in a tri-meet versus Illinois and Toledo last week with a pair of wins, and was named The Summit League???s Female Swimmer of the Week, announced by the league office. Solan, a sophomore from Polawy, Poland, earns the honor for the first time this season.

Solan became the first OU swimmer to win an event on Friday night with a swim of 57.20 in the 100-yard backstroke. She then clocked a time of 2:03.42 in the 200 back to finish in first place. Solan rounded out competition for the Grizzlies in the 200 individual medley, posting a time of 2:06.60 to touch the wall in second place.

Oakland will travel to Akron, Ohio, to face the University of Akron in a dual meet next Friday, Oct. 26. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
