Fisher, Lindman Pace Golden Grizzlies at NCAA Regional

Results Bowling Green, Ohio (Nov. 11, 2006) ???C Senior Laura Fisher (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.) chalked up her fourth straight top finish among Oakland runners as the women???s cross country team placed 26th of 30 teams at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, held at Bowling Green State University???s Forest Creason Golf Course this morning. Fisher clocked a 23:32.12 on the sloppy, rain-soaked course to place 109th in the field of 209. Meanwhile freshman Janelle Lindman (Farmington Hills, Mich.) was second among the Golden Grizzlies, her best finish of the year. She was 137th overall with a time of 24:01.23. Freshman Kayla Doan (Ortonville, Mich.) was the next OU runner across the line, running a 24:11.96 and placing 148th. Freshman Sara Lieblein (Lake Orion, Mich.) finished the race in 25:12.19, good for 175th. Senior Dayna Cline (Hartland, Mich.) ran a 25:29.68 and placed 180th. Freshman Leslie Schachinger (Clawson, Mich.) and sophomore Stephanie Huber (Sterling Heights, Mich.) rounded out the field for Oakland, separated by just 0.03 seconds.
