Elmhurst, Ill. (Apr. 20, 2005) ???C Senior Brian Stuard (Jackson, Mich.) was named the Mid-Continent Conference golfer of the week for a second straight time the league announced today. At this week???s Mid-Con Championship, Stuard won the individual title and Player of the Year honors in dramatic fashion, winning in a playoff with Kenny Ebalo of Southern Utah after both players tied with 54-hole scores of 216 (E). It is the fifth time this season that Stuard has been honored by the conference for his play. Stuard had rounds of 69-73-74, with his round of 69 marking his fifth sub-70 round of the season. The win was his fourth of the year and was the first time that an Oakland golfer has won the Mid-Con Championship.
