Heather Lippert (Walled Lake, Mich.) was named second team all-conference while freshman
Chelsea Licavoli (Clinton Township, Mich.) was selected to the all-freshman squad. Lippert turned in a solid season for Oakland, leading the team in kills and blocks from her middle hitter position. She finished second in the Mid-Con in blocks per game (1.25) and twice recorded over 10 in a match, with her 11 rejections against Chicago State setting a school Division I record for a four-game match. Her 125 total blocks also set a new school mark for the 30-point system of scoring. Licavoli had an impressive first year for the Golden Grizzlies, starting the season as an outside hitter and then switching to the libero position midway through the year. Her total of 42 service aces led the team, setting a new school Division I record and she finished second in the Mid-Con in aces per game. She also finished among the OU leaders in kills and digs, finishing the season with double figures in digs in eight matches, including four of the last six. Lippert is the first all-conference player from Oakland since 2000 when Tess Pierce was also a second team selection. Licavoli is the second OU player chosen to the all-freshman team, joining
