OU's Fralick Transfers to Saginaw Valley to Play Hoops

Oakland University's head men's basketball coach Greg Kampe announced today that sophomore Tim Fralick (Troy/Troy HS) will transfer to Saginaw Valley State University for the 2002-03 school year. Fralick has been at Oakland for three seasons and has played the last two. He will have two years of eligibility to play for the Cardinals. "I am very sad to see Tim go," Kampe said. "Everything that he is is what I want in a player. I understand his decision and everyone here wishes him well." "I'm really excited about my opportunity to play at Saginaw Valley," Fralick said. "It is a chance for me to get more playing time and that is exactly what I want. I wish all of my OU teammates and coaches the best of luck next year." In 2001-02, Fralick played in 18 games and averaged 4.1 minutes of playing time per game. The 6-2, 175-pound guard averaged 0.7 points and grabbed 0.4 rebounds per game. His top game was at Southern Utah when he scored five points and dished out two assists. As a freshman, he saw action in 22 of the 28 games. Fralick averaged 6.7 minutes per game and scored 1.5 points and grabbed 0.3 rebounds per contest. His top game as a redshirt freshman was at Western Illinois when he scored four points and grabbed two boards. Fralick came to Oakland in 1999 after graduating from Troy High School. At Troy HS, Fralick was a four-year standout in both basketball and football. He earned All-State honors and was named to the All-County Dream Team as a senior.
