Dayton, Ohio - Oakland???s volleyball team had a tough time of it on the road this afternoon, dropping a 0-3 decision to Wright State. WSU took the three games by scores of 30-18, 30-19, and 30-28. Oakland fell to 4-25 with the loss, while Wright State improves to 15-12. A lack of kills did in the Golden Grizzlies in the first two games of the match, with OU only able to muster 15 combined in the two games while Wright State was able to connect on 36 to take the games easily. Oakland???s offense improved in the third game, hitting .279 with 17 kills, but WSU countered with 21 kills of its own to put the match away. Beth Ann Rourk paced Oakland with a double-double effort of 13 kills and 14 digs, the only player in double figures in both categories.
Amanda Fowler added four blocks, while
Katie Lozier added a pair of service aces. Alison Sipiorski led all players with 15 kills for Wright State. Tricia Naseman posted a double-double of 13 kills and 16 digs, also adding three blocks.
