Box Score The Oakland University women's volleyball team fell to Central Michigan 3-0 Tuesday night at the Athletics Center 'O'rena. OU falls to 4-4 overall, while Central Michigan improves to 4-3 on the season. Oakland dropped three straight matches by the scores of 30-21, 34-32 and 31-29. The Golden Grizzlies played aggressive throughout the three matches but Central Michigan proved to be too powerful. Leading the Golden Grizzlies was senior
Cloretta Porter (Battle Creek/St.Philips) with 10 kills and one block assist. Freshman
Karen Conger (Marysville/Marysville) proved to be a valuable asset to the Grizzlies finishing the night with eight kills, one ace and six digs. Senior
Tess Pierce (Yorkville IL./Yorkville) rounded out the offensive attack with seven kills and one dig. Freshman setter
Katie Lozier (Clinton Township/Chippewa Valley) ran the show with 32 assists on the night and five digs. Central Michigan was led by Emily Lovejoy who finished with 17 kills, three aces and eight digs. Oakland will be in action again this weekend when the Golden Grizzlies travel to IUPUI Friday, September 21 and Valparaiso Saturday, September 22. OU will return home for a Tuesday matchup (September 25) against Bowling Green State University. Game time is 7 p.m.
