Elaine Leigh Track and Field Complex

Opened in 2015, the Oakland Outdoor Track & Field Complex provides a high-performance training and competition venue for Golden Grizzlies student-athletes. The facility features a 13mm Beynon BSS 2000 surface with encapsulated finish and eight 42-inch lanes, offering an elite track surface for speed and durability.

Key elements of the complex include:

• Long jump and pole vault runways located outside lane eight on the back stretch

• A dedicated throws area featuring:

  • Hammer and discus cage

  • Separate javelin runway

  • Two shot put circles with individual sectors

The complex is conveniently located at the corner of Ravine Drive and Meadow Brook Road, with parking available in Lot P11 on Pioneer Drive. Designed for both training and competition, this facility enhances Oakland’s commitment to excellence in track and field.
