Andre Latour was named assistant coach in July of 2016 after spending three seasons as a graduate assistant and intern. Latour has worked with the sprint program during his tenure where his infectious energy has helped the Golden Grizzlies compete at their highest levels.
Among Latour's assignments on the Oakland coaching staff are assisting with day-to-day operations, event and meet set up and aiding with daily workouts for the student-athletes.
A 2014 graduate of Oakland, Latour was a four-year competitor for the Golden Grizzlies, swimming breaststroke and sprint freestyle events as a collegian. Latour was awarded the Distinguished Scholar award at Oakland's 2014 Black and Gold Awards.
