2008 Indoor Track: Had six top 10 finishes ... Ran on the 800 meter relay team that ran 1:52.60 to set the school record at the Don Wright Invitational (Jan. 19).
High School: Earned four letters in track at East Detroit High School ... Was also a member of the cross country and cheerleading squads ... Captured the regional championship in the 100 meter as a junior ... Captured the league championship in the 300 meter hurdles as a junior ... Won league titles as a junior and senior in the 100 meter dash, while picking up a league title in the long jump as a senior ... Was the MVP of the East Detroit track team as a junior and senior ... Earned the most points any student-athlete at East Detroit has ever earned from her sophomore to senior year.
Personal: Daughter of Ameria and Darren Whitaker ... Planning on majoring in Business Administration.
