- Hit .200 with 11 hits, two doubles and three RBIs
- Scored six runs and stole three bases

High School:
- Was a four year varsity player at Beal City High School, where he was a two-time team captain
- Won state titles in 2009 and 2010, as he helped BCHS go 104-18 during his first three seasons
- As a junior he hit .456 with 23 RBIs, and nine doubles, while scoring 23 runs
- Named an All-State player in 2011, he is also a two-time all-conference and all-district selection
- Also played basketball and football at Beal City
- Played summer baseball with the Saginaw Means team
