Merchandise, Grizz Gear

  • Golden Grizzlies Gear can be purchased at the Grizz Gear Merchandise Booth located in the southwest corner the O'Rena at any home men's and women's Basketball game.
  • Merchandise is available for purchase at select Volleyball, Swimming, Soccer, Baseball and Softball games.

Concessions at the O'Rena

  • All food and beverage at OU Athletics events is provided by Kowalski.

    Non-Game day inquires/information can be addressed by calling the OU Ticket Office at 248-370-4000 during normal business hours, Monday through Friday 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

     


    Fan Entrance/Re-Entry/Outer Concourse Fan Requirements

     

    • All fans must present a game day ticket or OU Student ID to gain access to the O'Rena
    • All fans are permitted to receive free programs, posters, pocket schedules and game day giveaways (limited to a determined number of fans per game)
    • Fans must have a game ticket for facility re-entry

     


    Lost & Found

    • Lost and found items on game day can be claimed at the OU Ticket Office.
    • To claim items on non-game days view the University lost and found website at: http://www.police.oakland.edu/property or call the OU Athletics Facility Coordinator at 248-370-4050.

     


    Prohibited Items Policy/Food & Beverage Policy

    The following items are not permitted:

    • Any glass or plastic containers, bottles, cans, liquid containers and coolers (except for guests with special medical or dietary needs)
    • Backpacks, duffle bags (small purses, diaper bags allowed). All bags including purses, video cases, etc., are subject to search
    • Outside food or beverage of any kind (except for guests with special medical or dietary needs)
    • Chair backs, tripods, umbrellas, strollers, bicycles, skateboards, etc.
    • Animals (no animals of any kind are permitted except to provide assistance for guests with disabilities)
    • Noisemakers (horns, whistles, radios, thunderstix, cow bells, etc. will not be permitted)
    • Helium balloons
    • Use of electrical outlets
    • Weapons of any kind are prohibited: Campus Safety & Procedures http://www.police.oakland.edu/statement
      • The OUPD, as well as University Housing and Student Affairs staff, enforce the University's alcohol policy and state law. Illegal alcohol or drug use is prohibited on campus. In addition, University personnel discourage the abuse of drugs and the illegal use of alcohol through compliance with the Federal Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act. A description of University policies and procedures concerning drug and alcohol use is contained in the "Drug-Free Guide," which is available to all faculty, staff and students on an annual basis through the Dean of Students Office Web site. Firearms and dangerous weapons are not permitted in the residence halls. The illegal possession of dangerous weapons and firearms is a violation of University ordinance, State law and the Student Conduct Code.

    Smoking Policy

    • Smoking is strictly prohibited in the OU Athletics Center.
    • Designated smoking areas are available outside of the building.

     


    Wheelchair Seating/ Limited Mobility Seating

    • Seating for guests with wheelchairs is available on the upper concourse.
    • A limited number of wheelchair seats are available.
    • Please call ahead to reserve wheelchair accessible spaces, 248-370-4000.

     


    Lost Children

    • All children in attendance at an OU Athletics Center event should be told to contact the nearest event staff personnel (yellow shirt/coat).
    • Lost children will be taken to the Athletics Center Ticket Office, located at the entrance to the Athletics Center.
    • Parents looking for a lost child should go to the Athletics Center Ticket Office.

     


    Banners

    • Any poster/banner brought to an OU Athletics event should be no more than three feet high and not obstruct the view of fans or the view of OU Athletics signage.
    • Signs, banners, and flags that contain obscene language are prohibited. Such signs may be removed and/or the owner of such signs may be removed from the event site.
    • OU Athletics reserves the right to remove any banner at any time for any reason. All fans are expected to act in a sportsmanlike manner at all times and follow the OU Athletics Fan Code of Conduct.

     


    ATM

    • For your convenience an ATM is located at the Campus Recreation Center. This location can be accessed through the front door of the Recreation Center to the south of the main entrance to the Athletics Center.
    • ATM service is also available at the Oakland Center, University Student Center, http://www.oakland.edu/oc/, located just west of the Athletics Center building in the center of the OU campus.

     


    Rest Rooms

    • Rest Rooms are available on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Athletics Center.
    • Diaper-changing stations are located in all rest rooms.
    • All rest rooms are handicap accessible.

     


    Elevator and Ramp Access

    • The main entrance to the Athletics Center is equipped with both stairs and a flat ramp.
    • The main entrance to the O'Rena (the 3rd floor) allows for elevator access to the 1st and 2nd floors.
    • Please contact the OU Athletics Ticket Office if any special accommodations are needed at 248-370-4000.

     


    _ Fan Code of Conduct

     

      On behalf of the Summit League and Oakland University...
      In the spirit of sportsmanship, we ask that all fans act responsibly and courteously. Abusive language and disorderly conduct is unacceptable and unwelcome. Let's afford the student-athletes and your fellow fans the respect they deserve. Your cooperation is appreciated.
    OU Athletics staff supports, encourages and enforces a safe and fun environment and experience for patrons of OU Athletics events. The following behaviors are unacceptable at OU Athletics events and all participants in such behaviors will be removed from the premises:

     

    • Foul, obscene, offensive or abusive language or actions
    • Public intoxication or other signs of impairment related to alcohol consumption
    • Possession or use of illegal drugs
    • Smoking, except in designated areas
    • Fighting and unruly or inconsiderate behavior
    • Selling items, including tickets, on University grounds
    • Interfering with the progress of the event, including throwing any object on the court or going onto the playing surface
    • Failing to follow the rules/instructions of OU Athletics personnel
    • Sitting in a location other than the guest's ticketed seat
    • Indecent or obscene clothing or signs
    • Destroying OU Athletics, University or another patron's property
    • Conduct that endangers participants or spectators
    • Criminal trespass
    Those who do not abide by the Golden Grizzlies code of conduct will be subject to event expulsion without refund. Ticket holders are responsible for their conduct and the conduct of their guests or persons occupying their seats.

     


    NCAA Respect Campaign

    The NCAA Committee on Sportsmanship and Ethical Conduct has embarked on an initiative to increase awareness and commitment to sportsmanship across the Association. In spring 2008, the NCAA conducted surveys that helped shape the initiative's strategy. Through this initiative, the committee's goal is to advance sportsmanship commitment, provide a communication and educational plan that campus leaders will implement, and create a common language around the issue. In fall 2009, the Committee decided to produce a second edition of the RESPECT campaign brochure emphasizing institutional activation of the RESPECT campaign.

    Ticketing

    The OU Athletics ticket office is open Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from:

    • 9am-12pm
    • 1pm -4pm
    • or by calling 248-370-4000
    On basketball game days the ticket office will open one hour prior to tip-off and will remain open until the end of halftime.

    The ticket office is located at the main entrance to Athletics Center on the northwest side of the building.

    Will Call

    • General Public
      • Tickets are available for pickup at the far right window of Athletics Center ticket office. A drivers' license or some form of identification is required for ticket pickup.
    • OU Player/Guest
      • Tickets are available for pickup at the player will call table in the OU Athletics Center main entrance vestibule. A drivers' license or some form of identification as well as signature are required for ticket pickup.
    • Visiting Team Player/Guest
