ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Golden Grizzlies prepare to begin their 2026 Outdoor Track and Field season, releasing their schedule to kick off the spring.
Oakland looks to keep climbing the ladder in the Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field standings, where the men's and women's teams finished fourth last season.
The spring season begins with a two-day trip to the Indiana Wesleyan Polar Bear Invite on Mar. 20-21. Oakland will then follow up with a split weekend to close out March, where two groups will be sent to different meets. Some will go to the NC State Raleigh Relays on Mar. 26-28, while others will travel to Cedarville University on Mar. 28 for a one-day meet.
This will be one of three weekends where the Golden Grizzlies will be in multiple parts of the country at the same time, including a weekend trip to Tennessee (Apr. 10-11), Central Michigan (Apr. 11), and Bucknell University (Apr. 11-12). They will also have another split weekend later in the season, where the team will be spread out at the Penn Relays (Apr. 23-25), Grand Valley State (Apr. 24-25), and the Louisville Invite (Apr. 24-25).
The Golden Grizzlies will also spend a significant amount of time at their home track, hosting the Golden Grizzlies Invite (Apr. 4), the Elaine Leigh Invite (Apr. 17-18), and the Horizon League Championships from May 8-10.
With one of the most well-rounded teams in recent memory, featuring potential championship-caliber student-athletes across nearly every event, Oakland is poised for another successful season, beginning in just over a week.
