INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Golden Grizzlies are continuing the legacy and are named 46-time men's Horizon League Champions and 30-time Women's Horizon League Champions following this past weekend of events in Indianapolis.

Head coach Mitch Alters takes his first conference championship in only his first year leading the Golden Grizzlies along with new assistant coaches Molly Hebzynski and Jonny Simoes, respectively.

To end the conference championships Oakland nailed multiple title finishes in the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, and the 400 free relay. 

Freshman Clarissa Bezuidenhout was recognized as freshman of the year following her incredible times this past 2023-24 season and concluding finals times at Horizon League Championships. 

Additionally, women's swim and dive coach Larry Albright was awarded Women's Swim and Dive Coach of the Year for his extraordinary leadership of the top-placing women's team for Oakland.
