Oakland's Christian Bart Named Nike Horizon League Athlete of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Christian Bart has been named the Nike #HLSD Horizon League Athlete of the Week by the conference on Wednesday, February 1st for his performances over the weekend.

Bart accumulated four first-place finishes this past weekend for Oakland's last home meet in the Oakland Aquatic Center. Notable times include his 200-yard medley performance swimming in at a time of (1:29.29), along with his performance in the 100-yard breaststroke (55.18), 200-yard breaststroke (2:04.02), and finally putting in a new team best in the 400-yard free relay with a time of (3:01.24) helping his team claim the victory over Cleveland State accumulating a final score of 183.

The Golden Grizzlies are now preparing to finish off the season at the highly anticipated Horizon League Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 13-15.
