ROCHESTER, Mich. - The Golden Grizzlies men's and women's track & field team continues its start to its season tomorrow (Dec. 8) as it travels to Allendale for the GVSU Holiday Open.

The team opened its season last week (Dec. 1) at Saginaw Valley for the SVSU Holiday Open. The team was off and saw 13 individuals place in the top five in their respective event. Included in those 13 were five members of the team that found themselves second at the end of the day. Along with the placements, seven Golden Grizzlies wrapped up the day with new personal bests.

Alex Mansfield (shot put),
Julian Bailey (60 meter dash),
Kylei Anderson (60 meter dash) and
Ke'vina Finch (60 meter dash) all set personal bests on the track at Saginaw Valley, while
Jamie Giese (15.27 meters) and
Blake Foster (17.37) both set personal records in weight throw. Rounding out the seven was
Eddie Harrell III who ran his best mile with a time of 4:25.17.

SCOUTING REPORT
The Golden Grizzlies traveled to the west side of the mitten last year for the GVSU Holiday Open.
Justin Kudera raced to the finish in the 400m race with a time of 48.97, good for sixth place, while Harrell III was the team's top finisher in the 800m run with a time of 1:57.69. Also returning for this year's meet is
Adam Hill who placed sixth in the men's 3000m event with a finishing time of 8:39.51.

On the women's side, the Golden Grizzlies four of
Maddie Brown,
Hannah Fisher,
Madelin Richman, and
Abby Jackson look to improve on their 11th place finish (4:10.60) as they're set to race in the 4x400m relay once again.
Ashley Quinn doubled in the women's 800m and mile with fourth and third-place finishes, respectively, in 2:15.66 and 5:04.12.
Erin Hegarty placed tenth in the women's 3,000m with a time of 10:05.27.
