ATLANTA – Susan LaGrand competed in the 200 IM trials, finishing in 1:57.84, at the NCAA championships Thursday morning from the McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.
The senior's trial time was good for 43rd place overall.
LaGrand will compete in the 100 back on Friday and the 200 back on Saturday. Prelims begin both days at 10 a.m. with finals begining at 6 p.m.
The Grand Rapids, Mich. native and three-time Horizon League Athlete of the Year and two-time Swimmer of the Meet qualified in the 200 back by setting a school record in 1:53.66, topping her previous record and last year's qualifying mark of 1:53.9.
Friday's trials and finals will broadcast on ESPN3.
