What does being inducted into the Hall of Honor mean to you?
The Hall of Honor is a big deal to me. I remember walking past the legendary plaques everyday on my way to swim practice wondering if I would ever be fortunate enough to get on that wall. I have many people to thank for my success at Oakland University from coaches, teammates, teachers, parents, and so many other staff members. It truly was a team effort. I'm very grateful to have had such an amazing host of individuals helping me grow as a student athlete and as an individual. Oakland lit a passion inside of me that I still carry with me today and I hope that future grizzlies take pride in everything they do and unlock their full potential.
Â
This year's induction ceremony will take place on Friday, Jan. 24 at the Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac beginning at 6 p.m.Â
