ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Farm Bureau Insurance has partnered with Oakland University Athletics to create the Oakland University Athletics Faculty Recognition Program. This program recognizes Faculty that go above and beyond in their support of Oakland Student-Athletes and the Department of Athletics.
On January 3, 2019, the Golden Grizzlies and Farm Bureau Insurance honored Dr. Sheldon Gordon for his continued support of Oakland University men's and women's basketball. Dr. Gordon is a professor of biological sciences at Oakland University. He is also a long-time season ticket holder and donor for both men's and women's basketball. Recently, Dr. Gordon and his wife Andrea donated $50,000 to both the men's and women's basketball programs, totaling $100,000 in support of Oakland University student-athletes. Their generous support of Oakland Athletics continues to create a positive student-athlete experience for Oakland's men's and women's basketball student-athletes.
