
ROCHESTER, Mich. – Brittany Tyler has joined the athletic training staff announced by Deputy Athletics Director
Padraic McMeel on Monday. Tyler joins Oakland after serving as head athletic trainer at Woodhaven High and Middle School as well as athletic trainer for the United Shore Professional Baseball League (USPBL) through Beaumont Health Systems.
"We are excited to have Brittany join the Golden Grizzly family," said McMeel. "She brings a level of experience that will not only benefit our women's basketball team but all of our student-athletes."
Tyler provided injury prevention, immediate and emergency care, clinical diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and organizational and professional health and well-being to 700 student-athletes at Woodhaven High and Middle School in addition to professional athletes in the USPBL.
Tyler also provided athletic training services to field hockey and wrestling student-athletes at the 2017 AAU Junior Olympic Games.
A native of Lansing, Mich., Tyler earned a Master of Arts in Sports Administration from Wayne State University in 2018 and Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Central Michigan University in 2016.
